Welcome to Help Is Out There and here we are! This website is dedicated to stress management and mental health support. Whether you're struggling with life, trying to support someone who is or just want to learn more about the a area then I hope you find this website useful.


It's your decision so who do you want to be? Now I'm not talking about becoming a professional footballer or rock star unless you're talented enough. No, I'm asking "Do you want to be th e very best version of yourself?".


You should seek support when you need it but as importantly you should be looking for what keeps you relaxed and makes you happy. Both have av place. Eventually, you might not need support and may be able to help someone else.

Biography and Why the Website is Here

Welcome to the website. As the founder of Help Is Out There, I am trying to reach out and give you an understanding that could help. To give a perspective and because it might help, a friend suggested that I give a brief introduction to myself.


My name is Robert Anderson. You can call me Rob if you like or pretty much anything you like as long as you keep it clean and polite. I spent thirty years of my life being successful and happy but then unfortunately fell upon hard times. Don't worry, I'm not looking for sympathy. I have spent twenty years suffering on and off and at times very severely but there is hope.


I approached my problems from a calm, logical and relaxed perspective. I am a scientist by training, degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (1st class), two year PhD in Chemistry with a bit of Physics (manageable but not advisable) and thirty years experience in investigative and analytical R&D with good success. More importantly, I value morality, family, friends, community and progress.


I have a passion for helping people and after twenty years of mental health problems, I am doing well and would like to give something back. I feel that as I have a pathway to healing then I should share this with you. Only one success so far, myself, and that's great but maybe I can help. Now, this won't help everyone but having been through the worst of times I know that even one small step, one better way of coping or even one person becoming well and happy is more than worth the effort.


The website describes my experiences and outcomes. I went through the painful process of healing. It was worthwhile and having gone through that, it's actually a pleasure to be able to share my thoughts with you even if it's just for a chance of helping someone to cope, perhaps even better heal or help someone else. I have tried to regain the best of myself, perhaps even improve and you should too. If you're unfortunate enough to have had a life without happiness and I'm sure that is not entirely true, I'm asking you to believe that it's possible. I hope this helps.

The future



Now, I’ve set up a website and put my thoughts out there. Simple, elegant and true from my perspective. I might be wrong at times but it’s my best effort. I could dive into loads of subjects but I don’t want to. Some are disturbing but more importantly some you  simply don’t need to know. You can reason through it but if the take home message is good enough then you don’t need to. You have support; your vision, yourself, family, friends and If required therapy or health services but let’s nip it in the bud. You have everything within yourself to be well and happy. Maybe not overnight but give it time because it is absolutely so worthwhile.



I want to live a balanced, reasonably happy and normal life, whatever that it is. My thoughts are based on very bad experiences and thankfully most people don’t go through that so let’s not talk about it. Instead, how are you doing, family ok, do you want a beer and a game of pool? Whatever. I want to achieve and find or hold to what puts me in the best position to do so.  



I hate the term but let’s call it a journey. Only you can be happy with it and more importantly yourself. That is a fact. Ignore what you don’t  like, consider what you want to but at the end of the day it’s up to you. Find a message that speaks to you. It’s a matter of personal comfort, simple as that. You might be wrong but relax, remain calm and learn or if you’re right then teach. Teach though, don’t preach and more importantly relax and just be yourself. You’re here to enjoy life and most people just want to relax and enjoy your company. If you can help someone or someone can help you then great but it’s not your job. There’s a saying that says if you’re not the problem then it’s not your problem. You care so it kind of is but don’t obsess about it. Do what you can and be patient. Don’t worry. Reason with people. Things will fall into place. The worst problems tend to be caused by intractable people or situations and these take longer, require more effort but are ultimately worthwhile. But remember that you have a life to live.



There are uncomfortable subjects but if you don’t want to deal with them, can’t make a change now or even in the future of perhaps not at all then focus on what is important; your health and happiness.

I am off to lead a happier and healthier life and I hope you do too.
